  • Soccer teams from the Atlanta business and sports community, bi-lateral Chambers of Commerce and International Consulates are invited to compete in the AISF Division of the Publix Atlanta Cup.   This international celebration of soccer and culture is designed to raise funds and awareness for SOS Children’s Villages. The Atlanta International Soccer Fest 2012 (AISF 2012) will be held over the Labor Day weekend as part of the Publix Atlanta Cup. AISF 2012 will be the international component of the Publix Atlanta Cup, now in its 34th year, held at various sites around metro Atlanta and vicinity. AISF teams will play three Round Robin games, two on Saturday, September 1 and one on Sunday, September 2. Semi-finals are also played on Sunday, September 2. The final championship game will take place on Monday, September 3.   The deadline to register teams is July 2, 2012.   • Of course you know the Publix Atlanta Cup takes place on Labor Day weekend each year. However, we can provide some more information on upcoming dates and pertinent facts. Take note of these key dates and tournament highlights.TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITYThe Publix Atlanta Cup is open to select teams, registered and in good standing with their US Youth Soccer or US Soccer Affiliated Association. Age groups for this years’ tournament are u10, u11, u12, u13, u14, u15, u16, u17, u19 for boys and girls.DIVISIONSTeams will be grouped according to past playing record to make the most competitive divisions possible. The Publix Atlanta Cup Committee alone determines final placement. The Committee uses many factors when ranking teams including league playing division and record, State Cup and tournament results, USA Rank ranking service, etc.GAMESAll teams will play 3 round-robin games - 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday Morning. Semi-finals are played on Sunday afternoon and Finals are played on Monday. The latest finals will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday.HOTELSTeams that require lodging are required to stay in Publix Atlanta Cup approved hotels. Reservations will be handled by Connections, our tournament housing company. Hotels, descriptions, and rates will be posted on the tournament website. Teams may book rooms after divisions are announced.If there is a hotel where your team would like to stay – and you do not see the hotel on our approved list - just drop Connections a note and they will be happy to work with you. All hotel information will be available on our website or you can call Connections at 404-842-0000 or 800-262-9974.TEAMSAll teams and players must be US Youth Soccer or US Soccer Affiliated Association for the ‘12-'13 seasonal year. Association roster and ‘12-‘13 player cards are required to participate. For teams that are with US Club Soccer, rosters, player passes, and proof of insurance for the '12-'13 seasonal year will be required.The computerized team application system will assign your age group based on the age of your oldest registered player.PLAYERS AND GUEST PLAYERSAll players must by registered for Fall ’12 -’13. A player may play for only one team during the tournament. A maximum of 3 guest players per team is allowed (2 guest players for teams playing 6v6 and 8v8). Guest players must be registered and have a current ’12-'13 player pass.FORMATU10s will play 6v6 – maximum roster size is 12 players.U11s and U12s will play 8v8 – maximum roster size is 14 players.U13, U14, and U15 will play 11v11 - maximum roster size is 18.U16, U17 and U19 will play 11v11 – maximum roster size is 22 players with 18 players eligible for each match.AWARDSIndividual awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in each division.DEADLINESJune 2012 – Entries dueJuly 2012 - Acceptances E-mailedREGISTRATIONAll applications are processed on-line. On-line registrations may be paid by check or credit card. You will receive an email confirmation when your application is submitted. While we encourage you to enter early, early application does not guarantee acceptance.REFUNDSRefunds will be made in their entirety to all teams not accepted. Once entries close, the entry fee is non-refundable. If your team withdraws prior to the entry close date, your entry fee will be refunded, minus a $50.00 administrative fee.Refunds will only be made if the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, approximately one-half of the entry fee will be retained.SCHEDULESA representative must check the team in on Friday evening, August 31, 2012, unless an Online Check In has been completed. Teams will play two games on Saturday. The earliest game Saturday begins at 8:00 am. The last final on Championship Monday will begin at 2:00 pm.CONFLICTSThe Publix Atlanta Cup Committee works to minimize coaching conflicts. As much as we would like to help all teams, game schedules will not be adjusted to accommodate individual team scheduling or coach conflicts.GUEST PLAYERSGuest players will be allowed as follows – u10, u11, u12 two guest players allowed. U13 and older three guest players allowed. Guest players must be registered with US Youth Soccer or you US Soccer Affiliated Association for the '12-'13 seasonal year and have player passes, etc.GEORGIA TEAMSThe Publix Atlanta Cup is the largest fund-raiser for Georgia Soccer each year and volunteers are critical to the success of the event. Each Georgia team accepted into the tournament is required to provide two volunteers (eight hours total) to help during the tournament. There are many opportunities to help - before the tournament, during registration, or at the the fields. Volunteers are scheduled so they will not miss any of their teams games. Once accepted, each Georgia team will complete the volunteer information form. The Publix Atlanta Cup appreciates your support and willingness to help.COLLEGE COACHESThe Publix Atlanta Cup will prepare a book of team information for u16, u17 and u19 age teams to assist the college coaches in their scouting efforts. Fun Facts!

Over 33,000 players, parents, coaches, and fans attended the 2010 Publix Atlanta Cup. That's the same as the estimated number of people that lived in Georgia when the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776!

If all of the players, coaches, parents, referees, and fans from the 2011 Publix Atlanta Cup stood shoulder to shoulder, the line would stretch over 12.7 miles long. This is longer than Interstate 75/85 that runs through downtown Atlanta!

Online Check-in is an opportunity for you to skip the physical check-in by completing the process online. You will be required to upload .pdf files or images to the secure sincSports cloud. The event will determine which documents are included as a part of your check-in process.
